Bollywood’s next ‘Yeh Picture Pakistan Mein Ban Hai’ to feature Pakistani artist
The upcoming Indian movie titled 'Yeh Picture Pakistan Mein Ban Hai' whose shooting has not yet begun, has become talk of the town for its title.
The flick also features a Pakistan stage artist Rauf Lala. The shooting of the film begins from October 6 in Lucknow, reported the Hindustan Times.
Starring Filmistan-fame Sharib Hashmi, Aditi Sharma, Chunkey Pandey, Upasana Singh, Mukesh Tiwari, Fukrey-fame Manjot Singh and Pakistani comedian Rauf Lala, the film will be shot extensively in Lucknow for nearly 40 days.
"My protagonist Sunny (played by Sharib) is a perfectionist kind of small-time director who wants to make a film. He comes across this formula that if a movie gets banned, it works well. So he starts a film titled Yeh Picture Pakistan Mein Ban Hai. His act not only catches the media glare but also gets attention from the public and the political fraternity. The news reaches Pakistan and all these things take the project to a different zone," says Sunil, who has earlier assisted Anurag Basu for Murder, Gangster and Barfi, among others.
Haryana-based Mohit Dhanwantri is producing the film. "The shoot will begin on the 6th (October) with a song that will be shot for 3-4 days across the city. Sharib along with his friend played by Sukhen Dhanwantri will set the camera rolling and probably we will begin the shoot in Hazratganj on Tuesday," says the director who made his debut with the yet to be released family drama Fuddu featuring newcomers Shubham and Swati Kapoor.
Around 90% of the shoot will be done in Lucknow while some scenes will be filmed in Mumbai. The film has been written by Raj Shandaliya, who scripted the dialogues of the recently released flick Welcome Back.
