Noor Jahan’s 89th birthday being celebrated

ISLAMABAD – Fans of singing legend Noor Jahan are celebrating her 89th birthday.

She was born on September 21, 1926 in Kasur. Her real name was Allah Wasai. She began her career as an actress but afterwards she paid whole attention to singing.

In her career, she recorded more than 10 thousands songs in different languages of the sub-continent, private TV channel reported. She also got a presidential award for her services in the field of singing.
