Kevin Pietersen set to feature in Pakistan Super League
ISLAMABAD - Former England batsman Kevin Pietersen is the latest to join the list of superstar cricketers who have signed up for the Pakistan Super League.
"Absolutely buzzing to be a part of the Pakistani event coming up in February, I can't wait to get it started," Pietersen was quoted as saying by cricket.com.au. "It looks like it is going to be a wonderful competition. Lots of fun, lots of sixes, lots of wickets, typical T20 stuff," he added.
"I am really excited to be a part of this wonderful tournament and excited to get going. I will see you guys soon," he said. Earlier this month, West Indian stars Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard, Dwayne Bravo and Sunil Naraine expressed their intent to play in the league.
Bangladesh's Shakib Al-Hasan and Sri Lanka skipper Angelo Mathews were other notable foreign players who will be seen in action in the super league. Five teams - Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar and Quetta - will be seen battling for the inaugural title of the Pakistan Super League.
