Ghilaf-e-Kaaba changed

MAKKAH: The annual ceremony to change Ghilaf-e-Kaaba was held in Masjid-al-Haram in Makkah. The covering cloth of the Kaaba, known as Kiswa, is changed on 9th Zilhaj every year. The new cover has been prepared with 150 kilogram of pure gold and 670 kilogram of silk fibre. The cover, inscribed with verses from the Quran, is prepared in Darul Kiswa factory with the cost of twenty million Saudi riyals.
