Zuckerberg asked to wash hands after meeting Modi
‘Facebook’s CEO must clean his hands after meeting man who committed genocide’
NEW DELHI – India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to the Facebook headquarters in the United States has sparked anger and protests in India.
Activists associated with the Alliance for Justice and Accountability have created a website against the Indian prime minister who was allegedly involved in bloody riots in 2002 in India’s Gujarat state where more than 1,000 people, mostly Muslims, were killed.
The website, titled “Zuck, wash your hands!” calls on Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg to clean his hands after meeting the man who committed genocide.
The activists have been sending Zuckerberg antibacterial hand sanitiser to help remove bloodstains left behind from shaking hands with Narendra Modi. The sanitisers have already been sent to the Facebook CEO, according to the website.
Each of the sanitisers has a name of a Gujarat genocide victim written on it. The website also allows anyone who wants to send a sanitiser in his name to Zuckerberg.
