Turkish jets hit Kurdish camps in Iraq, killing 55


DIYARBAKIR - At least 55 Kurdish militants were killed when Turkish warplanes pounded camps belonging to the Kurdistan Workers Party in northern Iraq overnight, security sources said on Saturday.

The jets took off from a base in Diyarbakir, in Turkey’s southeast, and later returned without damage, the sources said.
